Description
The rubber tyred gantry crane offers high efficiency, flexibility, and mobility, which can be used in various industries and applications. Such as casting yards, bridge erection, external logistics, and storage, wind energy, power plants, steel mills, ports, etc. Yangyumech offers different types of industrial rubber tyred gantry crane for sale: single girder, double girder, and A-frame, which can meet any working conditions. Tell us your specific requirements and our professional engineer team will provide you a customized solution.
The rubber tyred gantry crane has a rigid and stable steel structure allowing precise handling with smooth movements even at high speeds. Supplied with eight rope reeving anti-sway system and drive systems, the RTG delivers exceptional productivity and reliability in container stacking. Precise control using simultaneous drive motion removes the need for a headblock or side shift. Available in either eight or 16 wheel configuration with numerous productivity options from DGPS and auto steering to stack profiling and automation.

RMG vs RTG: Which Container Crane Fits Your Terminal?
The choice between rail mounted gantry cranes and rubber tired gantry cranes depends on terminal layout, throughput requirements, and automation plans.
Choose RMG cranes if:
– Your terminal requires high stacking density (5–7 containers high)
– Automation or semi-automation is planned or anticipated
– Precise container positioning is critical for throughput
– You want to eliminate tire maintenance and replacement costs
– Reliable power infrastructure is available via cable reel or conductor bar
Choose RTG cranes if:
– Terminal layout requires cranes to switch between yard blocks
– Power infrastructure for rail-mounted systems is not available
– The terminal operates with lower stacking heights (3–4 containers)
– Mobility between work areas is more important than maximum throughput per crane
Many modern terminals use a mixed fleet, with RMG cranes on high-throughput blocks and RTG cranes on lower-density storage areas. Yangyumech manufactures both RMG and RTG container cranes, allowing unified specifications and spare parts across your crane fleet.
